Skitouring skis are generally lighter and wider.

touring binding (this allows the heels to come up when going up and you can then fix them when going down) and removable skins for going up.

Snowboarders need a “splitboard” including skins. The principle is the same.

If you are out in the backcountry, you will need an avalanche transceiver (beacon), a shovel and a probe. If you don’t have this yourself, we have this equipment for you to borrow free of charge .
